V.P. speech

My name is Bryce Hammond, and I'm running for vice president. There are few particular problems that I would like to touch base on. The first and foremost, is the amount of debt our nations government has amounted up to. As of right now, our government has a total debt of roughly $20 trillion dollars. Our nation cannot afford such costs as of right now. Money that should be going towards our debt, is mostly spent on the citizens who do not have jobs, and can't afford certain necessities. The money to fund these people comes from the U.S. work force and their taxes. From reviewing these costs and listening to how these funds are spent, it seems to be that the people who get the welfare and extra expenses expect the government to provide for them because they don't have the motivation to go out and find a job. That is not the responsibility of the government to make sure people who choose to live off our funds, to do exactly that. We should be using these funds to pay off debt, provide for a stronger military, and make sure public structures are well taken care of.
